Do You Flow?

by Martha on February 16, 2010

There’s only one way a river flows.  Downstream.

There’s only one way you really want your life to go.  Downstream.

Why?  Because going any other way is pointless.  You are going against the tide.  For the most part, we are created to go with the flow.

Now, this doesn’t mean follow the crowd.  Or copy the masses.

No.  It’s about your own energy.  Where you are created to be. What you are created to do.

You only have so many  hours in every day.  Put your energy into moving yourself forward to achieve your goals. Looking  back would be like going upstream. And, let’s face it, we can’t change a single event that’s already happened!

Instead of focusing on the reasons why you can’t do something,  or why you might have failed at it in the past, just continue to flow. Continue to make progress, go forward.

When something flows,  it moves easily, smoothly, with a nice rhythm.  You know when you are experiencing it.  Runners refer to it as being “in the zone.”  Things just seem to naturally and effortlessly fall into place.  It’s a feeling of “all is right with the world.”

Now, to achieve that feeling, I’m not suggesting anyone sit around and wait for it to hit them in the noggin.

Au contraire, Pierre!

In order for something to flow, there is movement.  It’s when you stop the flow that you cut off your results.  Think about it, if you cut off speaking to a person, you have cut off the flow of  a good relationship.  Just like that.  In an instant.  Same with your health.  When you cut off exercise and smart eating habits, you cut off the flow of a healthy body. When you stop giving your money to worthwhile causes, guess what?  The flow of money coming your way will be hindered.

In everything  you do, there is a natural flow zone.   You can choose to “go with the flow” or try to go against the grain.  But why would you?  If your goal is happiness and peace, you would NEVER even think about stopping the flow.

Good energy.  It’s all around us and within us.  We can choose to stay in the flow or cut ourselves off.  There is alot of truth in the old saying, “She cut off her nose to spite her face.”  That’s what I’m talking about here.  When you cut yourself off from the flow, you are hurting nobody but yourself in the long run.

So, go flow.

Fast and furious.  It’s a great ride!

Peace,

-Martha

Thank you Martha for sharing. This is just what I needed to hear in my life right now! I need to learn to “go with the flow”! This is great! Thanks again!

Sometimes I wonder how we ever get ourselves OUT of the flow? By sheer stubborn -ness? By ignorance?

As I was writing these words, I get a flash of inspiration–

How would you like to come on MoonMooYou: The Collective Wisdom on 3/2/10 and celebrate our first year anniversary AND my birthday?? It’s at 6PM EST on that Tuesday!

If this does not work, we can plan for another time!! But I have been mulling around exactly who would be The Person to come and celebrate with us, and the Universe pointed directly at YOU!!

Much Love and Blessings!

Thanks for letting me know,, Angel. You inspire ME to keep in the flow when you say that was “exactly what I needed to hear!”

Kate, I am so humbled by your request. Of course, the answer is a big YES! To be considered “the person” is too awesome for words!

Hi, Martha! Get in the flow…..great words of wisdom. I have not been in the flow today at all. I have been spinning my wheels cruising the ‘net instead of getting something done towards my goals.

Well, on that note, I will change my flow and become productive. (grinning as she said it)

Love,
Mary Ann

Really love today’s blog, it is awesome.

I am building a transport museum in the town I live in and I need to create something in the area the museum will be in. There is an empty shop there, I spoke with the person renting it once and had meant to get back to her to see if it is still available.

So I ran out of chocolate earlier. Rather than rant about the evils of Ms Ty and her Green And Black devouring habits I cajoled our four year old into a fun trip to the supermarket to buy some more.

Out or 17,000 people in our town, who do I bump into?

It is no co-incedence it happened this way.

And everything about this conversation keeps going my way.

Of course my personal opinion about Law Of Attraction is it is a bit woo woo and there has to be a Logical side.

Either way…

It’s working :-)

Have fun today

Thanks for your comment Mark. The one person you needed to bump into out of 17,000? Sounds like you are definitely “in the flow!”

Mary Ann, glad to know you recognized you were going the wrong way! Making the decision to change your flow is all in your own hands :)
