Independence Day Motivation

by Martha on July 4, 2009

Happy 4th of July!

Hope you are having a great day with family and friends. Maybe grilling burgers and watching fireworks!

We all know what Independence Day means. It the day we officially broke away from the mother country. England and all it’s back-breaking laws and heavy taxes.

What does that have to do with motivation? Plenty! Our forefathers were motivated because of the weight of the British government. Many times, negative events can trigger a revolution, a real change.

What is happening in your own life that you need to get out from under? Are you being oppressed in some way? I don’t mean, the government is a weighty problem. We have the best government in all the world. A free democracy!

What I am asking is this: Are there people, or situations that are bringing negativity into your life? Do you feel the weight of that on your shoulders? Then, make a change!

Revolutions are never easy. But, they are necessary sometimes in order to bring about a worthwhile goal.

Decide what you need to do in your own life to achieve your goals. What you need to get rid of. Then, celebrate your independence!

Shoot some fireworks!

Happy 4th,

Martha

“You can’t soar with the eagles when you’re hanging around with turkeys!”

Thanks for the motivation!
